Lingerie Care Instructions
You should treat your lingerie well. Whenever possible, wash it by hand. Some bras are made from delicate materials with different care instructions, and hooks, fastenings and strap adjusters may not withstand high temperatures.
If you must use a washing machine, always choose a mild detergent and place underwire bras in a laundry bag.
The care symbol on the garment tells you how best to wash it. On garments made from mixed fibers, the care label is based on the most sensitive fiber.
Perfumes and deodorants can be difficult to remove if they stain a bra or camisole. To help avoid staining, apply perfume before getting dressed and wait until your skin is completely dry.
Swimwear Care Instructions
Swimsuits need special treatment so they maintain their shape and bright colors for as long as possible. Always follow the specific care instructions supplied with your Amoena swimsuit.
Before you swim
- Shower in clean water before entering the pool so your swimsuit absorbs less chlorine.
- Choose oil-free lotions, as oils can damage swimwear.
- For hot tubs or Jacuzzis, wear an older swimsuit because chemicals and prolonged warm water can be hard on the fabric.
After swimming
- Rinse your swimsuit immediately in cool, clean water to remove most salt, sand and chlorine.
- Roll it in a clean, light-colored towel and gently squeeze to remove excess water.
- Do not leave it wrapped in the towel. Allow it to dry naturally away from direct sunlight.
Washing Your Swimsuit
- Wash your swimsuit after use because body oils and perspiration can weaken its elasticity.
- Always hand wash swimwear in cool water with a mild liquid soap.
- Turn the swimsuit inside out to help protect the outer fabric.
- Rinse thoroughly and gently squeeze it in a towel to remove excess water.
- Allow it to air-dry away from direct sunlight, which can fade colors.
- Never use a dryer or iron because intense heat can damage swimwear.
- Lay it flat or hang it to dry and do not store it until it is completely dry.
- Allow approximately 24 hours for the swimsuit to dry and regain its shape before wearing it again.
